Phil Jackson is widely considered one of the greatest coaches in the history of the NBA. Jackson has had a winning record every year as a head coach, and currently has the highest winning percentage of any Hall of Fame coach.

Along with his NBA-record eleven championships, he is the only coach to win at least ten championships in any of North America's major professional sports.

In this new Gatorade commercial, Jackson recounts Michael Jordan's epic 1997 NBA Finals Game 5 performance, where he led the Bulls to victory 90-88 while suffering from the flu.

This game is forever etched into the memories of basketball fans, and made fans and Jackson, as he puts it in the clip: "a believer.""We had to help him into the locker room," says Jackson. "It made me a believer.

Not in luck, or fate, but in the will to win."

Something is happening on South Beverly Drive. It used to be one of the few streets in downtown Beverly Hills that you could be seen in your sweaty yoga pants and latte-stained UGGs. But now, South Beverly Drive has morphed into old Melrose meets young London Soho. It’s a place to hang out for locals, young people and stars who aren’t trying to be seen, but not trying to hide. It’s laid back and chic without trying. The people are just sooooo “put together.”

The latest retail to buff up the strip is C By Karina. It’s an eyeglass store with an edge. I spoke with owner and designer, Karina Leigh (also the shop’s optician). Karina once owned the hottest spectacle store on Robertson, across from Kitson, but took a few years off to start a family. Now she’s back and better than ever. She insisted on finding a spot on the coveted South Beverly Drive for her new shop. Her loyal clients include J. Lo, Britney, Paris, Kanye West and LL Cool J—to name a few.

Architect Amir Taj designed a gorgeous interior, white-on-white, with Swarovski chandeliers and gorgeous Lacquered wood, glass and mirrored display cases, crown molding, white wood floors, and Louis XV furnishings. (Think the White House meets Hollywood Regency with a dash of French Provence.)

I had to ask, what makes C by Karina so unique?

“I think people who know glasses, both prescription and sun glasses, know that we specialize in runway pieces that are very hard to come by, and that I personally hand pick those pieces for my store,” Karina said. “Also, we stock the biggest vintage collection that has never been worn. Yes, vintage pieces which are essentially new.”

Karina add: “We can custom design anything ... My customers are the kind of people who are attracted to having unique things, and want that personal touch we provide.”

Lakers Former Head Coach Coach Phil Jackson Appears in New Audi Commercial Wearing Zero G

Even as he's enjoying retirement, it appears Phil Jackson's coaching hasn't stopped. Appearing in a new Audi commercial, Jackson walks into a restaurant, overhears a "chef" yelling at one of his workers and explains why that wasn't the best approach.

"I've found that anger is the enemy of instruction," Jackson says.

"You don't know the egos I have to deal with," the chef responds, supposedly not realizing who he's talking to.

Jackson smirks, perhaps thinking back to his days handling Michael Jordan, Dennis Rodman, Shaquille O'Neal and Kobe Bryant. "You're probably right," he says.

Of course, Jackson could've followed his own advice at times. Ripping Bryant in his book The Last Season required both Bryant and Jackson to go at great lengths to restore their relationship during the coach's second run with the Lakers. Jackson poking Pau Gasol in the chest during Game 3 of the Western Conference semifinals against the Dallas Mavericks only sapped the power forward's confidence even more.

But Jackson's legacy, with 11 championship rings, will always be closely tied his Zen-like qualities. They helped persuade Michael Jordan to embrace the triangle offense. They spurred O'Neal and Bryant to temporarily put their issues aside for three consecutive title runs. And recently they helped an emotional Rodman compose himself through an emotional Hall of Fame acceptance speech. They also apparently don't hurt when shooting car commercials.

Japan Charity and Guinness World Record for Longest Line Of Spectacles

Zero G Eyewear has partnered up with Megane Guinness in an attempt to break the Guinness World Record for the longest line of spectacles in history and in the process help rebuild the areas of Japan most affected by the recent disasters.

The organization would like to promote the city of Sabae to the world. 90% of Japanese domestically produced eyewear is manufactured in Sabae city, Fukui, but many people are not aware of it. Megane Guinness decided to challenge the Guinness World Record to promote that Sabae=Megane(Spectacles) and Megane=Sabae.

On May 5th, 2011, tens of thousands of donated optical frames from around the world will be connected in Sabae city in a single line with a target of 6,600 feet (1.25 miles). The current Guinness World Record is 5,775 feet. To reach the goal, the organization will need to collect 20,000 frames.

All donated frames will be distributed to people in need. Zero G is hoping its frame donation will help set the new world record as well as provide a new start for many families.
